From Archibald McKinlay, 7 July 1850
Oregon City 7th. July 1850
Captain Clayburn
Dalles Col River
Oregon Territory
Dear Sir
I duly delivered your message to Mr. Pritchette1 who faithfully promised to attend to your affairs and as he said he would address you on the subject I beg to refer you directly to him for all particulars. The 4th. was kept up in grand style at this place. I hear no news of interest. Times very dull at present. I have been very unwell since my return but am now fast recovering.
Wishing you all manner of pleasant times I remain
Respectfully Yours
Archd. McKinlay2
